About The National Arena
Swimming League.
Currently nearly 300 teams and over 12,000 swimmers take part in team relays and individual events in galas of 51 events, over three rounds, on fixed dates.
The galas are on the second weekends in October and November and the first weekend in December to fit in with the national programmes in England and Wales.
The country is divided into six individual leagues, undertaking the three rounds to crown the individual league’s champion, and to identify qualifiers for entry into the National Plate Final and the National Cup Final.
Each of the leagues’ winners and runners-up are then invited to the Finals weekend at the beginning of March in the following year. The six top teams from each league are entered into a virtual gala so an additional eight teams can also compete in the Finals. The Finals are currently held at Sandwell Aquatics Centre, Birmingham.
The competitions are licensed and this allows athletes another opportunity of gaining times on rankings.
Solo Sport, who are the sole importers of arena swimwear, sponsor the league, with the current sponsorship deal in place until 2030. Owing to the generous sponsorship deal the athletes can experience a top-class competition at the highest level.
You can support our sponsors via their online online outlet for swim wear and active wear soloactive.co.uk.
It is a brilliant competition! Any club in the UK is eligible to join. All the details about the leagues, the competition and contacts are on the other pages on this website.
